Noticing NFL betting trends can help you make NFL predictions for Week 1. There is a clear trend with the Seattle Seahawks. They failed to cover in five interconference games last season, but this has to do with the NFL schedule in Week 1. That's because the Seahawks will be playing a non-conference opponent, the Denver Broncos. The Broncos have rookie Box Nix under center. Can you confidently bet on this rookie and his team in your Week 1 NFL betting?
This is one of six AFC vs. NFC matchups in Week 1, including Steelers vs. Falcons (-3), Titans vs. Bears (-4.5) and Jets vs. 49ers (-4). Divisional matchups may be closer than expected due to team familiarity, so will playing against unfamiliar opponents result in one-sided scores that could impact your NFL predictions for Week 1? All NFL lines for Week 1 are listed below. SportsLine's advanced computer model has all the NFL betting advice and NFL predictions you need to make your best Week 1 NFL picks right now.
The model has simulated every NFL game 10,000 times and has returned over $7,000 in profits on $100 players on A-rated NFL picks since inception. The model has an astounding 185-129 record on top-rated NFL picks dating back to the 2017 season and going into Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season. The model has also recorded 39-21 on A-rated NFL picks since Week 7 of the 2022 NFL season.

Top NFL Week 1 Predictions
One of the model's most likely NFL predictions for Week 1 is for the Chargers (-3.5) to cover the spread at home against the Raiders. The Chargers have won their last three home games against the Raiders, covering the spread each time, and have won by an average of 8.8 points per game. Justin Herbert has a 7:1 TD:INT ratio in those games and has twice as many rushing touchdowns as interceptions.
Vegas is expected to struggle offensively, given the veteran Gardner Minshew at QB and unproven Zamir White at RB. The Raiders had little to rely on offensively last year, ranking in the bottom 10 in points, yards, rushing attack, passing attack, third-down conversions and red-zone scoring. Minshew is not known as an offensive booster, and they won't have the luxury of former rushing champion Josh Jacobs in the backfield. The Chargers (-3.5) are projected to cover nearly 60% of the time, but the model favors the over (42.5) in more than 50% of simulations. See here for other teams to pick.
Another NFL prediction this week is for the Bills (-5.5) to beat the Cardinals at home. Josh Allen simply takes his game to another level in front of the Bills Mafia. He had 25 touchdowns to eight turnovers at home last season and 19 touchdowns to 14 turnovers on the road. His leg strength will also be a big asset in this matchup, as the Cardinals allowed the eighth-most rushing yards and sixth-most rushing TDs to opposing quarterbacks last season.
Kyler Murray's legs could also cause problems for the Bills, but his arm could be ineffective against Buffalo's pass defense. The Bills allowed the second-fewest passing touchdowns (18) in 2023, but the third-most interceptions (18). They were one of only three teams that did not allow more passing touchdowns than interceptions, and the Bills also ranked fourth in the league in quarterback getting (54 sacks). With a big advantage in Buffalo's defense, the Bills (-6.5) cover in almost 70% of the simulations. See here for other teams to pick.
