A Norwegian ship scheduled to transport NASAMS missiles to Poland has become stranded. – Rudder and propeller damaged. Sora Rescue Center spokesman Thomas Bravoll said it had to be towed to a dock. The weapon will be used to protect the Rzeszów airport in Jashonka, where NATO soldiers are stationed.
The Finlandia Seaways cargo ship bound for Gdynia is still docked in Stavanger, Norway. While leaving port, the troop's hull collided with the bottom of the quay. The onboard NASAMS missiles are intended to protect the Rzeszów airport in Jasionka.

Norwegian Armed Forces Operations Command spokeswoman Hanne Olafsen said there was no damage to any weapons on board the ship. No one was injured, including the crew involved in the missile launch.

Finlandia Seaways was a civilian unit hired by the Norwegian military to deliver NASAMS anti-aircraft systems to Poland, and was to protect a military airport near Rzeszów with F-35 aircraft. The shipowner is currently arranging alternative transportation. Because the incident occurred directly within the port, the military does not expect any problems in replacing the ship.
As the incident concerns a civilian unit, police are investigating the situation. The military set up a security zone around the disabled ship.
