Remscheid, Germany/Shanghai, China — 26 August 2024 — At this year's ITMA Asia + CITME 2024 trade fair, Oerlikon Polymer Processing Solutions will once again focus on the challenges currently facing the global textile machinery industry: the consistent replacement of old systems with energy-efficient and sustainable technological solutions, the use of digital software and hardware solutions to increase productivity and ensure material quality, and full-product traceability to enable the recycling of raw materials used in a future-oriented circular economy.
Oerlikon invites all visitors to ITMA Asia + CITME 2024 to ask questions and interact with experts on site. At Hall 7, B09 of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai, from 14 to 18 October 2024, in a booth of around 100 square metres, visitors will be waiting to discuss answers to their latest questions of today and the future.

“The Chinese market remains a great potential for us, even if for two years we have not been able to match previous levels in terms of large new synthetic fibre plants and the associated capacity expansions. But the need for renewal remains high, especially in terms of sustainability. Closing old plants and replacing them with new, modern, energy-efficient technology is the way to a better, less-emission future for us all,” explains André Wissenberg, Head of Marketing, Corporate Communications and Public Relations.
“For decades, we have been contributing to sustainability through our technology solutions, whether that be by making our machines more energy efficient or processing new materials with each new machine generation,” continues Vissenberg. Oerlikon has been offering innovative solutions for the textile industry under the e-save sustainability label for 20 years and is proud to have saved more than 15 million tonnes of CO2 thanks to the machines and systems developed and introduced on the market during this time.
