Dramatic scenes took place in one of Olsztyn's restaurants, where a three-month-old baby was suffocating. A police officer from the Mragovo police station responded when he heard the woman's screams. Thanks to his calmness and knowledge of first aid, the child was able to breathe and was now under medical supervision.
The incident happened on Friday (November 22) in one of Olsztyn's restaurants. A policeman from Mragovo, who was on training in the capital of Warmia and Mazury, was in the building where this dramatic situation occurred. The officer heard the screams of the frightened woman: she was suffocating. He turned around and saw behind the building a man and a woman holding a few-month-old baby. The child was losing his breath.

“The police ran to these people and took the strangled baby from their hands. He realized that the baby was most likely choking on food. He ordered the building staff to call an ambulance and administered first aid to the baby. He could not make a sound. In some cases, he lost consciousness, stopped breathing and turned blue,” said the Mrgovo district police office.
