Ontex Group NV, an international developer and manufacturer of personal care products, has announced the commercial launch of its latest baby pants featuring its Dreamshield 360º innovation. With a unique pee-poo back barrier and a 360-degree fit for all-round protection and comfort, Dreamshield 360° technology is available in stores in Germany and will soon be rolled out to other markets as production expands at the Ontex factory.
Dreamshield 360º Pants have outperformed competing products in multiple consumer panels. Consumers have expressed a preference for Dreamshield 360º, especially with regards to absorbency, leak-proofing, dryness and fit. In a recent French survey, 65% of consumers considered absorbency in baby products very important, 55% emphasized the need to keep skin dry, and 62% rated comfort as an important factor. Dreamshield 360º outperformed competing products in all these areas, demonstrating its superior panel results and making it the trusted choice for parents and retailers alike.
The new range of baby pants features triple leak protection and continues to feature Ontex’s patented Secondry technology, ensuring an all-around leak-proof fit and ultimate dryness.
Ontex saw significant growth in Baby Pants sales last year and predicts this trend will continue in 2024. The rollout of Baby Pants technology has begun in Europe with room to expand to other regions. The production comes in response to demand from retailers across Europe who have seen Dreamshield 360º results in a German consumer panel and seen consumers transitioning from traditional diapers to Baby Pants in both Europe and North America.
Laurent Niery, President of Ontex Europe, said: “Consumers no longer see baby pants as a training tool, but as a quality product that makes everyday life easier, day and night. Dreamshield 360° innovations enable our retail partners to supply the next generation of baby pants consumers want – baby pants that offer superior protection and comfort, including at night, making them ideal for active babies.”
