Pavel Koval of the Civil Alliance, the authorized representative of the government on the revival of Ukraine, explained his connections with the businessman Vitold K., who is close to the Belarusian oligarch, in “Fakti po Factach” on TVN24. She said she “didn’t know him very well” and the services did not inform her who the man was. He admitted that it is necessary to consider an additional method of checking a person who receives a one-time pass to the Seimas.
Witold K., accused of corruption and close ties with the Belarusian oligarch, was received at least 50 times by high-ranking officials, including current and former government ministers – according to documents obtained by TVN24 “Black and White” reporters. According to our information, both the former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Radoslav Sikorsky, were at the events related to the implementation of the multi-million dollar agreement with Kenya, for which Witold K.
In October, as we revealed in the report “Lukashenko’s Chefs”, Witold K. at the suggestion of Krzysztof Truskolaski, deputy of the Republic of Ukraine, he spoke in the Sejm, which Truskolaski confirmed to us. There, the businessman from Podlasie met with the chairman of the foreign affairs committee, Pavel Koval.
Koval, who was asked by TVN24 reporter, admitted that he had previously met Witold K. met three times in Podlasie, and in the Sejm – as the KO deputy says – K. asked about the agreement with Kenya.

The KO politician was asked if he knew that Witold K. he is facing charges of corruption during a meeting in the Seimas. – To be honest, I don’t know him very well. “I remembered that I met him yesterday,” he answered.
He said that “the issue has two aspects”. In his opinion, it is necessary to ask him for a broader statement on this topic at the stage of the report.
– You should have asked me about this while preparing this material. You have submitted this material many times. I was recorded somewhere by chance, in the corridor, while running, – accused Koval. Meanwhile, TVN24 journalist Dariush Kubik asked the politician about his relationship with Witold K. asked and made it clear to him that the person he was dating was facing charges of corruption. – Do you know that this man is facing charges of corruption for this contract related to Kenya? In the continuation of the speech of the chairman of the foreign affairs committee of the parliament, the question remains whether such people should meet with politicians and whether there should be “a special information system”? – Maybe he should be. I don’t know if it is possible to inform the deputy in the Seimas about their calendars, who they meet with and who they are looking at, he continued.
When he was asked if the services had informed the identity of Witold K., the locksmith answered: – No, of course not.
When he was asked if he thinks that this should be done, he answered: – They should know my calendar, (…). I think that it is possible to invite experts on such issues and, for example, try to determine whether such a test should be conducted when entering the Sejm. I know that such tests apply to permanent switches. Are they for single crossings? I don’t know.
Koval: you should consider additional testing
He emphasized that it is necessary to consider an additional method of checking a person who receives a one-time pass to the Seimas. – In practice, it is impossible to do otherwise, – he added.
– I believe in the services of Poland, because I know political life and practice. We should think about what to change, what to improve, but in this context, criticizing or spreading stories about lack of trust in Polish services is an act against the state. I will never decide to do this, because I know how difficult the security situation in Poland is today, said the deputy from the civil coalition.
