The members of the Committee therefore submitted three applications for punishment, detention and deportation, and for the initiation of proceedings to remove the immunity of PiS members.
Mr Ziobro refused to appear before the commission and referred to a Constitutional Court ruling issued in September of this year. Subsequently, the Constitutional Court ruled that the scope of the Pegasus Inquiry Commission's activities was unconstitutional. However, the majority ruling party does not recognize this ruling due to concerns about the independence of the court.
Public opinion poll. Should Zbigniew Ziobro be brought before the Pegasus Investigative Committee?
We conducted a survey to find out public opinion on this matter. “Should Zbigniew Ziobro be forcibly brought to the Pegasus Investigative Committee?” – this is the question asked by the respondents of the SW Research survey for rp.pl.
58.1% answered this question. Respondents gave a positive response and said the former minister should be brought in for questioning. 23.2% think that people should not be forcibly taken away, while 18.7% have no opinion on this matter.
Majorities of both women (57.1%) and men (59.2%) say former ministers should finally be questioned. The findings are very similar, ranging from 52 to 59 percent in each age category. I think Zbigniew Ziobro should be brought to the committee.
This result shows that the desire to bring geobros to the Pegasus committee increases with education and income. For example, 45.4% of those with primary or lower secondary education were in favor of compulsory education, compared to 61.5% of those with tertiary education.
This survey was conducted by research organization SW Research among users of the online panel SW Panel from November 5th to 6th, 2024, and 800 internet users aged 18 and over participated. The sample was selected using a random assignment method.
