Peraton appears to have backed out of the fight for a $1 billion enterprise IT contract with the Defense Manpower Data Center.
Deloitte was awarded the contract earlier this year, but Peraton subsequently filed a protest, resulting in a corrective action being taken in Peraton's favor. The center said it would reevaluate Peraton's proposal, including its technical approach.
But Deloitte was awarded the contract again, and Peraton returned in late June with a new challenge.
Peraton withdrew his new protest on Tuesday, seemingly allowing Deloitte to get to work on drafting the contract.
Companies are not required to give reasons for withdrawals, and Peraton did not respond to a request for comment.
Enterprise IT awards consolidate other contracts into one vehicle. Services include hardware, software, and systems integration.
DMDC is the agency responsible for collecting data on uniformed personnel and their families.
