– My conversation with the new Secretary of State Marco Rubio took place – said the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry Radosław Sikorski in Davos. “President Putin appreciated Trump’s words that the war must end,” he added. As Sikorsky emphasized, Poland is being set as an example as an ally of the United States.
– My first conversation with new Secretary of State Marco Rubio took place. I congratulated him in his position. It was a good conversation – said the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland Radosław Sikorski at a conference for journalists in Davos.
– We agreed to meet next month and perhaps a visit by Mr. Rubio in Poland this year, – he said, adding that Poland is setting an example as an ally of the United States.
Sikorsky said Putin thanked the politician for Trump’s words that the war in Ukraine must end.

Davos. Head of the Polish Foreign Ministry: I warn President Trump
– There are politicians who believe in direct personal diplomacy. Sometimes it has consequences. We’ll see what the US administration decides – Sikorsky was asked about the new president’s thoughts on the end of the conflict in Ukraine.
– I just wanted to warn President Trump that we have a different President Putin than we had four years ago. Currently, the Russian president is accused of a crime and is being prosecuted – noted the head of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The head of the Foreign Ministry also announced that a senior representative of the United States will be present to celebrate the liberation of Auschwitz on January 27th.
