Pension recipients from Poland may be with their island family, even though they have been threatened with deportation after they mistakenly filed a request for a stay in the UK. Information was provided by the Guardian on Friday.
The mistake of a Polish woman who wanted to live with her 52-year-old son, who had double British citizenship, was sending documents to the Home Office, not paper.

The data given was correct, but the British authorities inform her that she must leave the country, and the decision is final. During the long-term administrative process, her visa expired and she lost her right to stay on the island.
Journalist intervention saved Polish women
Only after being interested in the case of a “Guardian” journalist, officials sent her appropriate prints and guaranteed the right to stay in the country for five years after returning her. The documents received also guarantee the right to medical and use.
The incident was made public throughout the UK, and a Polish woman was offered to marry her to protect her from deportation.

– I am very pleased that this long journey has finally come to an end and that the problem has found a positive solution. The whole situation was exhausting, but my mother was very pleased with the final decision – my son told the journalist.
