Porsche Design has announced a collaboration with leading Thai real estate developer Ananda Development to create Porsche Design Tower Bangkok, a groundbreaking concept, extremely exclusive luxury residence located at one of the Thai capital's most prestigious addresses.
Porsche Design Tower Bangkok will be the designer's first in Asia and third globally, following luxury real estate developments by Porsche Design in Miami, USA and Stuttgart, Germany. The project features 22 exclusive duplex and quadplex “Sky Villas,” ranging from 525 to 1,135 square metres, with average prices ranging from $15 million up to $40 million, and is designed to set a new standard in luxury living. Construction is due to begin next year and be completed by the end of 2028.
Porsche Design Tower Bangkok is the result of a pioneering partnership between Porsche Design, known for design excellence, and Ananda Development, acclaimed for its engineering excellence and attention to detail. Together, the two companies have envisioned a futuristic landmark with cutting-edge design and exquisite living spaces aligned with the true passions of its residents.
“We can't wait for the opening of the Porsche Design Tower Bangkok, our third Porsche Design real estate project worldwide and our first in Asia,” said Lutz Meschke, Vice Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche AG. “This unique and exclusive architectural masterpiece fits perfectly with our approach of broadening the appeal of our most discerning customers by offering exceptional experiences in all areas of life. Porsche Design Tower Bangkok is the next big thing for Porsche in Southeast Asia. This region is becoming increasingly important for us and the major events we have recently hosted here are testament to this. One example is that in January we celebrated the world premiere of the new electric Macan car in Singapore.”
Exciting new Porsche launch
The all-electric new Macan was unveiled to the world within an installation created by architect, artist and Porsche enthusiast Marc Fornés in collaboration with Style Porsche.
Stephan Büscher, Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche Lifestyle Group, expressed his vision for the project: “We are very pleased to announce our partnership with Ananda Development, which marks a milestone in our company's relentless pursuit of excellence. Following Professor FA Porsche's design philosophy of 'optimizing function while reducing form to the bare minimum, without compromise', Porsche Design Tower Bangkok represents a groundbreaking combination of exquisite design and optimal functionality. Our vision is to create living spaces where passion can flourish. We pursue passion in everything we do, striving to ensure that our projects go beyond living spaces to become expressions of individuality.”
Chanond Ruangkritia, President and CEO of Ananda Development, shared his enthusiasm for this pioneering collaboration with Porsche Design: “We are delighted to announce our collaboration with Porsche Design, which symbolizes our aligned belief that passion inspires creativity and drives the achievement of excellence, as exemplified today by the concept of the Porsche Design Tower Bangkok. We believe that the shared passion of both partners, combined with Porsche's excellence in luxury design and Ananda Development's meticulous attention to detail in its properties, will result in a truly exceptional residential development.”
Architectural highlights and unique features
A distinctive feature of Porsche Design Tower Bangkok is the integration of “Passion Spaces” – the ultimate luxury garages for residents to store their carefully selected automotive collections. Fully customizable to suit personal tastes, these exclusive spaces offer residents a private sanctuary. Located in the heart of the city, this private garage not only serves as a sophisticated venue for social gatherings and special events, but also as a versatile backdrop for indulging in a variety of hobbies.
“The Loop”, a spiral access ramp for cars at the centre of the building, leads directly to “Passion Space”. The skyscraper's façade achieves maximum functionality by allowing the space to be transformed at the flick of a switch. Inspired by the “kinetic move” of the Porsche 911 Targa's roof mechanism and its hybrid ease of use, the façade features a sophisticated, fully automated terrace door system, allowing future residents to seamlessly blend outdoor and indoor living.
Another architectural highlight is the exposed plinth structure known as the “X-Frame”, whose shape is inspired by the design of Porsche's Mission R concept car and its exoskeleton, creating a unique entrance experience. The top of the 95-metre-tall, 21-storey tower is crowned by “The Crown”, a light signature inspired by the iconic lighting design of Porsche sports cars and has become a landmark on Bangkok's skyline.
Inside, premium materials and premium furnishings enhance the exquisite living experience while the specially designed, technology-inspired luxury kitchen features motorized drawers and cabinet doors offering a hands-free solution, premium customized appliances and the finest durable wooden kitchen façades. State-of-the-art amenities include a 25-metre swimming pool, a performance fitness centre, spa, social lounge and business lounge.
Sukhumvit Road: ultra-luxurious
Renowned for its suitability for luxury living, Sukhumvit 38 offers a unique location on the even-numbered side of Sukhumvit Road in the vibrant Thonglor district. As such, Porsche Design Tower Bangkok will offer residents a sense of tranquility and privacy while also providing convenient access to a range of amenities and vibrant attractions, including fine restaurants, cafes, shopping malls, entertainment centres and a variety of leisure activities.
