– The president is returning to his strong and clear rhetoric, which I think is perhaps unnecessary in our public debates, – said Adam Bodnar, the Minister of Justice and Attorney General in “Fact po Factach” on TVN24. He referred to the words of Andrzej Duda about the decisions of the National Election Commission. He also added that “the Law on the Supreme Court may be changed immediately.”
In the program, the Minister of Justice referred to the words of President Andrzej Duda on Monday, who commented on the National Election Commission's approval of the decision of the unrecognized chamber of the Supreme Court on the financial reports of the PiS committee from the 2023 elections. . – This communist hydrat, which constantly protects and feeds the remnants of communist lies in Poland, today, as I understand, once again cast its vote in the National Election Commission, – said, among others, the president.

Bodnar on the president's words: he returns to his tough speech
– It is a little surprising that the president is returning to his speech, which is very strong and clear, and in my opinion, it may be unnecessary in our public debate, – explained Bodnar.
– Excuse me, are these people (the president is talking about – the editor) forty-year-olds who sit in various Polish courts and judge, who have already received education during the time of free Poland? he asked.
– If I look at President Andrzej Duda, he (editor's comment) had already developed a lot in the 1990s, and it was difficult to name people of his generation using such colorful adjectives. I don't think that's the point. It's just that Mr. President, as I understand it, claims with various arguments that everything he has authorized with his signature over the years should just remain unchanged, explained Bodnar.
Bodnar: I positively assess the decision of the National Election Commission
Referring to Monday's decision of the National Election Commission, the Minister of Justice said that he considers it positive. – I think, when it comes to the Chamber of Emergency Control and Public Affairs, we all face a difficult situation, – he added.
The President of the Ministry of Justice recalled that according to the judgments of the Court of Justice of the European Union and the European Court of Human Rights, the Chamber of Extraordinary Control and Public Relations of the Supreme Court “is not a court”. “That's why the National Election Commission draws a certain conclusion from this,” he said.
Bodnar: Maybe the Law on the Supreme Court will be amended immediately
Bodnar also referred to the words of the head of the National Electoral Commission, Sylvester Marciniak, who said that delaying the decision on this matter could lead to paralysis in the presidential elections. – If the National Election Commission makes specific decisions, it will definitely work. “I did not fully understand what the judge, the head of the National Election Commission meant in the context of the presidential election,” said the Minister of Justice.
– I hope that such a situation will not happen (as in Romania, where the first round of elections was declared invalid – ed.), but different types of disputes may arise, the result of the election will be somewhere on the border, and the question will arise whether we have a court with an arbitrator who can resolve these disputes, continued Bodnar.
He also assessed that “perhaps there is a need to quickly introduce the Law on the Supreme Court and give this authority to the chamber where the actual judges of the Supreme Court sit, or simply (transfer – ed.) transfer to the full body of the Supreme Court be given to the Supreme Court.”
In response to the host's comment that President Andrzej Duda might not sign such an amendment, Bodnar said he would not rule it out. – In my opinion, all participants of public life in such a situation should be worried that we have an independent judge, – he said. He added, however, that the idea is currently “in the design phase.”
