President Vladimir Putin has donated more than 70 animals to North Korea, which will live in the capital's zoo. The following people arrived in Pyongyang. An African lion and two brown bears. This is not the first time that leaders have exchanged gifts as part of “strengthening ties.”
The delivery of the gift to North Korea was announced on Wednesday by Russian Natural Resources Minister Alexander Kozlov, who personally supervised the plane transport of the animals along with a veterinarian from the Moscow Zoo.
– Today, I present to my Korean comrades a gift from President Vladimir Putin to the Pyongyang Zoo. He said that during his visit to the country, we handed over more than 70 people.

The donated animals included an African lion and two brown bears. “These animals have historically held an important place in interstate relations and have been given as a sign of support, kindness and compassion,” the minister stressed.
The list of new additions to the zoo also includes two yaks, five parrots, 25 pheasants of various species and 40 mandarin ducks.

“All specimens are young and have the potential to produce offspring that Pyongyang Zoo desperately needs,” the Russian Zoo's website said.
This is not the first time that Putin's government has supported the Pyongyang Zoo. In April, the zoo received 40 animal specimens, including eagles and pythons.
Cooperation between Russia and North Korea. It's not all about the military
Moscow and North Korea have been strengthening relations since signing a mutual cooperation agreement in June of this year. President Vladimir Putin, who was in North Korea at the time, received a pair of Pungsan dogs from Kim Jong Un, and the Russian leader gave Kim Jong Un an armored Aurus limousine.

Since then, countries have regularly exchanged various resources. The Kim regime will dispatch troops to Russia and other countries, and will be provided with containers that can hold approximately 9.4 million 20,152mm rounds, and in return Russia will provide food and military technology. Thousands of North Korean soldiers also went to the Russian front.
