Now we have to fight for every vote, to be in every town, even the smallest town. Nothing will be given here, not even good polls can lower our vigilance, – said the representative of the government in charge of post-flood reconstruction, General Secretary of the Republic of Poland Marcin Kirwinski in “Facti po Factach” about the upcoming presidential elections. Kirvinsky: We are going to war
Marcin Kirwinski, the general secretary of the Civic Platform and the government's authorized representative for post-flood reconstruction, said on TVN24's “Facti po Factach” that “in Poland, the presidential election is decided by two or three percent of the vote.”
– This fight will probably still be intense. This shows only one thing: we finished the primaries and now we have to fight for every vote, to be in all, even the smallest cities, and here nothing is given. Even good questions can't lower our vigilance. We are going to war, he emphasized.
He also noted that the first meeting of the KO is scheduled for December 7 in Gliwice. – Therefore, it is a difficult task to win the presidential elections day by day – he added.

Kirvinsky also emphasized that “Rafal Trzaskovsky has knowledge and potential”. – He is in optimal shape to win the presidential election. And we will all help him. Radoslav Sikorski also spoke very, very strongly today. And I am very happy about it, he admitted.
“PiS will fight for its life”
The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that he “assumes that it will be a difficult campaign and a brutal campaign.” When asked why he thought so, he answered: – Because PiS is fighting for its life.
– They still hope to keep some unpunished remains. Today, the guarantor of the impunity of some PiS politicians, at least they think so, is President (Andrzej) Duda. Because President Duda, after the change of government, became the last bastion of defense against this rotten PiS camp, he said.
– So they fight for their lives and use the worst methods. In addition, they are used to the fact that, to be honest, their campaign is dirty, angry and so rude. And Rafal Trzaskovsky must face all this, he noted.
He also assured that “Trzaskowski will not be alone”. “He will have behind him an army of people who voted for him today and an army of volunteers who supported us in the October 15 elections,” said Kirvinsky.

Payments for flood victims. “I had a very difficult conversation with the voivode of Lower Silesia”
Kirvinsky was also asked about issues related to assistance to flood victims, including the problem of payment of state funds for the repair and reconstruction of houses. In some local governments, payments have only recently started. Residents are worried about the delay in processing and processing applications. Businesses report a need for more support.
– I understand that these are bitter words, because considering the scale of the tragedy and destruction, there may not be enough help. But this does not mean that there is no help for entrepreneurs. Since the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) program was launched, about PLN 100 million has been paid and loans have been initiated by local agencies cooperating with the government – he noted.
He also noted that “in order to better meet the needs of businesses, in the latest flood bill passed by the Senate yesterday – now waiting for the President's signature, I hope he will not delay in this regard – we have introduced , for example, a five-month exemption from ZUS “. – This means that an entrepreneur who does not make money in these five months will be exempted from paying ZUS fees – he explained.
Kirwinski also announced that there will be negotiations on further solutions for businesses.
In response to a comment he himself made in the media that he did not consider the speed of payments to people affected by the flood to be satisfactory, the government representative stated that “this week has really shown speed”. “Although I am still not satisfied with this speed,” he added.

When asked who is to blame, Kiervinsky answered that “this is a complicated process.” – Because this is a process in which the local government, government administration and voivodeships participate, he explained.
– I had a very difficult conversation with the voivode of Lower Silesia (Macie Avizen – editor's note). I was there last weekend and I said that this rate is completely unsatisfactory and needs to be accelerated. And you can really see the speed, although it is still very slow – continued the guest of TVN24.
He said that “therefore, in the flood protection act that I spoke about, we introduced a prepayment procedure for the first time in history.” – This means that a person who applied for assistance (in the amount of) 100,000 PLN and 200,000 PLN (…) will receive an advance payment of 50,000 PLN, so as not to wait until the application is checked and approved. he said.
