The Civil Alliance will hold an election campaign on Friday to choose its candidate for the post of president. Rafal Trzaskovsky and Radoslav Sikorsky compete. Artur Balazs, former minister of agriculture, ex-deputy, opponent of the era of the Polish People's Republic, spoke on TVN24 about the preparation for the presidential elections in “One to One”.

In his opinion, “the issue has already been resolved” in the Civil Alliance. – According to my assessment and knowledge of politics, Trzaskovsky will be a candidate. I believe that Trzaskovsky will win among the voters of the Platform and the parties cooperating with the Platform. Sikorsky's result will be good, but in my opinion there is no chance of victory – said Balazs.
He noted that “both are good candidates”. – Sikorsky says that he is a wartime candidate, while Trzaskovsky, in turn, says that he already has experience in fighting with Law and Justice, – he noted.
Balazs: the second round has not been resolved at all
He added that “I regret that the candidate (KO) is not Donald Tusk, because in that case the entire camp can be united around Tusk's candidacy in the first round.”
– I am afraid that any party that presents its candidate will create the usual desire for fierce competition. The tight race may mean voters won't necessarily rally around Trzaszkowski's candidacy in the runoff. That's what I'm afraid of, and that's why Tusk will be a better candidate, but it's not worth looking back – said the guest of TVN24.
– Today, everyone should think in such a way as to get as much support as possible in the second round and not to ensure that the votes of the supporting parties are low in the second round, because this has not been decided, – he said. noted.
In his opinion, “today's survey, which shows the victory rate of the Platform candidate in the second round, does not prove anything.”
