ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Artificial intelligence (AI) is likely here to stay, but that means some say banning it from schools and college campuses is unrealistic.
Some universities, like UNC Asheville, have been working on realistic AI regulations for years.

While the university doesn't have an official campus-wide policy, professors are encouraged to create their own guides to AI and consider how they can or can't incorporate it into their classes.
“But what I've tried to do is design the lessons and the assignments so that there's less pressure on students to do it a certain way, or the nature of the assignments is more personal, so that students aren't thinking, 'I don't know how to do this. I'm going to get an AI to do it for me,'” explained Brian Graves, senior English lecturer and coordinator of the first-year writing program.
