REDDING, Calif. — Shasta County Mental Health Services is accepting input from the public on a three-year program and spending plan.
The plan was developed last year, and this annual update is expected to cover data for the 2022-2023 school year.
Mental Health Services Act coordinator Ashley Saechao said the update will highlight programs and progress made over the past year using budgets allocated in the three-year plan.

“I'm actually going to compile those comments and present those comments at a public hearing with the Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Advisory Committee and we're going to consider them at the public hearing, and then if there are substantive comments that require changes to the plan, we'll implement those changes,” Saechao said.
The annual report said the wellness center's hours of operation and the number of clients it serves have increased.
Comments from the public will be accepted until Sept. 22 at 5:30 p.m.
