The 2024-25 Best Graduate Schools rankings are based on two types of data: expert opinion on program excellence and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school's faculty, research, and students, as well as students' graduate school outcomes. Data for the rankings in the fields of business, education, engineering, and nursing came from a statistical survey of 2,225 programs and a reputation survey sent to approximately 5,766 scholars and 10,941 professionals in fall 2023 and early 2024. To collect peer evaluation data, U.S. News asked deans, program directors, and senior faculty to judge the academic quality of programs in each field on a scale of 1 (marginal) to 5 (outstanding).
Purdue University's profile and reputation continues to grow, as evidenced by U.S. News & World Report's latest graduate school rankings and the many awards it has recently won.
