Representative Image New Delhi: Raymond Lifestyle has expanded its board of directors with the appointment of Rajiv Sharma as a Non-Executive Director, it said in a press release on Monday.
The appointment follows Raymond's plans to list its demerged business, Raymond Lifestyle Limited, in early September.
Commenting on his appointment, Gautam Hari Singhania, Chairman, Raymond Lifestyle, said, “We are pleased to welcome him to the RLL Board as we embark on an exciting journey as a pure-play branded textile and apparel company. The diverse and deep expertise of our Board will complement the passion and commitment of the RLL management team as we pursue significant opportunities in the country, including in the wedding, apparel and sleepwear segments.”
With 30 years of experience, Sharma spent more than 14 years with Coats Group, a global multi-industry company, including seven years as Group CEO. He also served as a director of a joint venture between GE Energy and Shell and held management positions at Saab Systems Inc. and Honeywell.
The company currently has over 1,500 stores across 600 cities and towns and also has a presence in the B2B space through its clothing business.
