The report was received by the service last Saturday 11. A resident of Lehjo near Kielce fell into a 20 meter high well located on the property.
Due to the depth of the well, rescue operations were extremely complicated and dangerous.
Police, ambulance, Kielce fire brigade and local fire brigade attended. A highly specialized team was also dispatched to the scene.

Rescue teams managed to bring the 59-year-old man to the surface, said Mawgorzata Perkowska-Kiepas, spokesperson for Kielce city police headquarters. Rescuers immediately began resuscitation efforts, but the man was found already dead.
“The emergency medical team confirmed his death,” Perkowska-Kiepas added in an interview with Radio Kielce.
The immediate cause of the man's death could not be determined. Trauma from a fall or drowning was considered the most likely cause. This issue will be clarified by autopsy.
