Roxanne Perez knows who the “Four Horsewomen” of her generation are.
The current NXT Women's Champion spoke to TV Insider ahead of her title defense against Jada Parker at No Mercy on Sunday, and during the discussion she was asked who from her time in NXT should be rated on an equal footing with Bayley, Becky Lynch, Mercedes Monet and Charlotte Flair.
Perez responded:
“That's a tough question, but I'd choose myself, Cora Jade, Indi Hartwell and Lyra Valkyria. All of us have wanted to achieve this dream our whole lives. We've been chasing this dream and we've all been able to show why we can be the next Four Horsewomen. I think it's a great group of talented individuals.”
Bayley recently said she would be replacing Valkyria with Jane and selecting Indi Hartwell, Roxanne Perez, Jaycee Jane and Cora Jade as the new Four Horsewomen.
Perez was also asked about a possible sequel to WWE's women's only event “Evolution,” and she said that Bayley could be a good opponent for her if WWE were to hold a similar event in the future.
“I'd love to do it. I've been waiting for Evolution II for a long time, and maybe now I could be a part of it. I first watched it when I was probably 15 or 16, watching it on my couch, and I've been itching to be a part of it one day. So yeah, hopefully Evolution II will happen. How about me against Bayley or something?”
During the interview, Perez also commented on being a fan of CM Punk and working with him in NXT.
“He's such an inspiration. I grew up watching him, and now I'm aware of him and getting to be under his tutelage and get so much advice. He always stops by NXT (the premium live event) and sits and watches the whole show and gives us all advice after the match. He doesn't have to do that. He just does. I'm so grateful to him. He's so amazing. I've learned so much from him already and I can't wait to keep learning from him.”
