Russia and the US agree to Washington’s new Russian ambassador
The US has approved Moscow’s official consent to the appointment of US ambassador to the Russian Federation, Alexander Dalcheev – the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Friday. According to Reuters, the US side gave an official note, giving Dalkiev’s “green light” during Thursday’s discussions about the US-Russian delegation in Istanbul.
A meeting of Russian and American delegations took place in Istanbul, Turkey on Thursday, concerning “normalization of the functioning of diplomatic missions in both countries.”
The US side then gave official notes on the agreement regarding the appointment of a new US ambassador and a Russian representative.
Alexander Dalksy, the current director of the North American department of the Russian Foreign Ministry. “It will appear in Washington in the near future,” the Russian Diplomacy announced.

“Born in 1960, Darcziew has been in diplomatic service since 1992. From 1997 to 2002, when there was ‘insulation’ in Russian-American relations, he served as an embassy advisor in Washington.

Remember that when General Anatonov, who had held this feature since 2017, finished his mission, Moscow had no ambassador in Washington.
