New information on the process of treating Russian soldiers has been revealed by Pyongyang’s Russian ambassador Alexander Macegola. In an interview with the government newspaper Rossijskaja Gazieta, the diplomat said “hundreds of Russian soldiers injured in Ukraine undergoing rehabilitation at a North Korean hospital.”
Macegora said, “Everything is completely free.” “Treatment, care, food,” he said.
Russia wanted to pay North Korea back. “They were honestly offended.”
The Russian ambassador also said Moscow proposed to Pyongyang to reward “at least some of the costs.” However, he made it clear that the initiative did not meet a positive reception.
