Russia launched a missile attack on Ukraine. Sirens rang throughout the country this morning. There were reports of explosions in several cities. Emergency power outages were introduced for many circuits.
Approximately five sirens sounded throughout Ukraine. Anti-aircraft warnings were initially thought to be related to the threat of ballistic missile attack.
Later, Russian MiG-31K and Tu-95 aircraft were reported to have appeared in the air.
“At around 6:30 a.m., the first rocket entered the country's airspace,” Ukraineska Pravda reported.
The Air Force reported a possible launch of Kh-95 cruise missiles by Tu-101 in the area of the city of Engels.
The warning was lifted at 8:00 a.m. local time.

Union government agencies reported reports of explosions by residents of Kremenchuk and Dnieper.
“The Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration reported damage to industrial enterprises in Dnipropetrovsk. There were also two fires in the city,” we read.
The power outage occurred on many circuits including: In Kyiv, Odessa, Poltava and Donetsk.
Poland picked up fighter jets
Poland scrambled fighter jets after Russia's missile attack on Ukraine. Two planes on duty responded.
The operational force emphasizes “full readiness for immediate response.”
