“The Strategic Rocket Force has begun to plan comprehensive control of the units and formations,” the Russian Ministry of Defense said.
The Reuters Agency has reported that the “planned exercises” include the use of intercontinental ballistic rockets that can carry nuclear heads.
Russia: “Planned Exercises” begin with two circuits
“Comprehensive inspections of strategic rocket forces are beginning,” said a communication from RIA Novosti, a Russian Ministry of Defense.
“As part of the inspection of the rocket layers in the Tagił (Swierdłów region) and Barnauł (Altai Region), an exercise was planned to be directed under the leadership of the Rocket Association leaders.
The Russian Ministry of Defense said, “The units will perform tasks in the areas of engineering support and protection against radiation, chemical and biological weapons during operation of the rocket regiment.”
Russia tests atomic rockets
During the exercise, “functions of military unit training systems and organization of training staff to perform combat services” will be checked.
As we read, “control” is carried out “under the commander’s supervision.”
The JARS rocket is a long-range Russian ICBM (intercontinental ballistic missile) that can carry the nuclear head. It can be installed on a vehicle’s mobile launcher or on an atomic silo.
