Russia attacked Ukraine with a record number of drones. Nearly 200 unmanned aerial vehicles were dispatched to Kyiv. Seventy-six of them were shot down, but the rest caused damage. Several machines crashed into critical infrastructure facilities. In recent days, the conflict has begun to significantly intensify.
From Monday to Tuesday night, Russia sent a record number of drones into Ukrainian territory. Moscow attacked with 188 aircraft. The Ukrainian Air Force said in a statement that its military had successfully neutralized 76 aircraft.

“Occupation forces attacked Ukraine with ballistic missiles Iskander-M launched from the Russian Voronezh and Kursk oblasts. During the night attack, the enemy launched a record number of Shahed drones and unmanned aerial vehicles of an unknown type into Russia. ” from the vicinity of the cities of Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk and Primorsko-Akhatarsk – reported on social media.
Of all the drones, excluding the one that was shot down, 95 lost contact and five flew towards Belarus. The statement did not say what happened to the others.

As a result of this attack, infrastructure facilities in the Ternopil Oblast in western Ukraine were damaged. This caused problems with electricity and water supplies. Then, in Kiev Oblast, debris from the drone damaged several houses, utility rooms, and cars. Warning sirens blared in Kiev for five hours.
Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko said the drones flew over the capital from different directions and spread out in different directions as well. Reuters wrote that witnesses heard a series of explosions that sounded like air defense systems being activated.
