War in Ukraine. The battle for Pokrovsk in Donetsk region continues
According to ISW analysts, Russian troops approached Pokrovsk to a distance of six kilometers. Meanwhile, deep state researchers are hinting at further advances by the enemy. General Silski, head of the Ukrainian military, said the fighting in the region was “very intense” and the situation required “non-standard solutions.”
“Russian forces continue to achieve tactical successes south of Pokrovsk, attacking weak points in Ukraine and attempting reverse maneuvers to attack Pokrovsk directly from the south,” ISW said in its latest report.
Analysts noted that Russia has made significant advances, especially in the Novy Turd and Dachensky regions, which has led to the deployment of Russian troops just six kilometers south of Pokrovsk.
But deep state analysts say Russia is making even greater progress. According to their calculations, after Wednesday's battle, the occupiers should have approached within 3 kilometers of the main city.
