“Ryan's World The Movie: Titan Universe Adventure,” a film spinoff of the popular YouTube title “Ryan's World,” is set to hit theaters in Canada and the UK to coincide with its US release.
“Ryan's World” has 207 million subscribers worldwide across its YouTube accounts.
The film features the Kaji family, stars of “Ryan's World” – Ryan Kaji, Sion Kaji, Loanne Kaji, Emma Kaji and Kate Kaji – playing themselves.
The film was produced by Kajiya's production studio, Sunlight Entertainment, in partnership with Pocket.watch.
The film will be released theatrically in Canada on over 125 screens and also through major cinema chains Cineplex Entertainment and Landmark Cinemas, as well as in over 90 theatres in the UK and Ireland through Vue Entertainment.
The release in these countries will coincide with its US release, with the film debuting on more than 2,100 screens on August 16th.
In Canada, the film will be released through Shelley Media Group, the country's leading independent distributor. In the UK, Pocket.watch and Sunlight have worked directly with Vue, the UK's largest cinema chain.
“Ryan's World The Movie: A Titan Universe Adventure” follows Ryan's epic journey. When his twin sisters, Emma and Kate, get sucked into a mysterious comic book, Ryan steps up as a big brother to follow them.
“Adventures, battles and hilarious blunders ensue as Ryan and his friends journey across the Titan Universe and get everyone home safely before their parents find out,” a press statement read.
The film is directed by Albie Hecht and produced by Zion Kaji and Roan Kaji. Chris M. Williams is executive producer.
The film's animated portions are being produced by Shin-Ei Animation, the Japanese animation studio behind popular anime series “Doraemon” and “Crayon Shin-chan.”
Pocket.watch has partnered with over 50 creators on YouTube, some of whom will co-star with the Kaji family in the film, including Evangeline Lomellino of GEM Sisters as Aiden (1.3 million subscribers on YouTube and over 700 million lifetime views across GEM channels), Dan Rhodes as himself (with 35.8 million followers across TikTok and YouTube and 17.5 billion views on YouTube alone, making it the platform's most watched magician channel in history and named one of YouTube's Top 10 Creators in 2022), and Stella Wallace of “The Stella Show” as Ryleixa (1.8 million subscribers on YouTube and over 1 billion lifetime views).
