Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and actress Sara Bareilles, known for hits such as “Love Song” and the Broadway musical “Waitress,” will perform in Lancaster this fall as a fundraiser.
Bareilles will perform Saturday, Oct. 19, at Freedom Hall in the Lancaster County Convention Center (25 S. Queen St.) to benefit CHI St. Joseph Children's Health.
Bareilles' performance begins at 8 p.m., but VIP ticket holders can participate in a pre-concert community conversation with Bareilles and CHI St. Joseph Children's Health Center President Phil Goropoulos. According to the event's program, Bareilles and Goropoulos will discuss “the possibilities, the opportunities, and creating truly inclusive and healthy communities.”

Bareilles is a three-time Tony Award nominee, most recently for her performance in “Into the Woods” in 2023. She is a two-time Grammy Award winner and four-time Emmy nominee, and stars as Dawn Solano in the Netflix musical comedy series “Girls5eva.”
CHI St. Joseph Children's Health is an organization dedicated to improving the health of children and families in the region. The organization is a behavioral health services provider in Lancaster, operates St. John Newman Children and Family School in Columbia and plans to open Mary Frances Buckman School in early 2025.
CHI St. Joseph's Children's Health Center has previously hosted similar events featuring Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tony Kushner, athlete Julius “Dr. J” Irving, chef and World Central Kitchen founder Jose Andres, author Mitch Albom, CNN host Van Jones, human rights activist Samantha Power and New York Times racial justice reporter Nikole Hannah-Jones of The 1619 Project.
