Marcin Romanowski is facing very serious charges of misappropriation of very serious money, (…) which was intended for the weakest and poorest people, said Marshal of the Sejm, leader of Poland 2050 and presidential candidate Simon Holounia in “Rozmova Piaseckiego” ” .
Former Deputy Minister of Justice and Member of Parliament of the PiS, Marcin Romanovsky – a suspect in the investigation of the Fund of Justice – was wanted with an arrest warrant since last Thursday. On December 9, the court decided to arrest the politician for three months. After this decision, the police searched the addresses where he could be, but they did not find him.
A European arrest warrant against Romanovsky was filed in court on Wednesday, and prosecutors had previously asked Interpol's national office to issue a red notice for the suspect.
As Sejm Speaker Simon Holovnia said on Wednesday, Romanovsky should be paid his parliamentary salary and office allowance in order to “effectively be deprived of his freedom”. He also explained that Romanovsky's presence at sessions of the Seimas until December 23 is justified by medical leave.
On Thursday in “Rozmova Piasetskiego” Holounia repeated that Romanovsky “is on leave until December 23”. – They acquit him as a deputy. But he is not acquitted as a citizen, as a human being. You cannot do such things. Even more so when you were the deputy minister of justice, says Holounia.

– Romanovsky is facing a very serious charge of embezzling huge amounts of money (…) intended for the weakest, most vulnerable victims of crime. For people who were victims of someone else's violence through their own fault. According to him, the misuse of such money is morally low.
