Firefighters extinguished the fire at the school in Skotov, Nidzitsa province (Warmian-Masurian voivodeship). The fire started in the attic and spread in two places. 60 firefighters are involved in the operation. There is no information about the injured. These services announced that from Tuesday, children will be sent to Rogoz school.

Initially, 10 firefighters were mobilized to extinguish the fire. The fire spread to the attic of two wings of the school. According to the fire brigade, the fire is spreading, so more firefighters were sent: from Dzyaldovo, Ostroda and Lidzbark. A total of 60 firefighters were involved in extinguishing the fire.
An emergency team from the Regional Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Olshtyn was also sent to the scene of the incident.

According to the spokesperson of the Warmi-Masurian Voivodeship Shimon Tarasevich, the fire probably started in the attic of a residential building and spread to the school building next to another building. Firefighters are taking measures to prevent the fire from spreading to the nearby gym.
Every day, about 100 children, including children of preschool age, go to school in Shkotov. They are led by 20 teachers. We already know that on Tuesday the children do not study there. The voivodeship service said that the children will be sent to Rogoz school, which is several kilometers away. From Tuesday morning, the army will be on the ground to provide any assistance.
