Shraddha Kapoor is in the headlines after the box office success of Stree 2. As the horror-comedy continues to break records, the actor has reached a new milestone. Days after overtaking Prime Minister Narendra Modi to become the third most followed Indian celebrity on Instagram, Shraddha has now overtaken Priyanka Chopra to become the second most followed Indian after Virat Kohli.
With over 92 million followers, Shraddha has surpassed the “Desi girl” who has 91.8 million followers on Instagram. While PM Modi's follower count remains at 91.3 million, star cricketer Kohli is now the most followed person in India with 270 million followers.
Shraddha recently appeared in Amar Kaushik's Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank along with the original cast including Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana and Pankaj Tripathi. The Stree sequel also features Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan and Tamannaah Bhatia in cameos. This time, the film follows the story of an evil 'Sarkata' who captures modern women in order to re-establish patriarchy in the village of Chanderi.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently attended her brother Siddharth Chopra's wedding in Mumbai. The global star looked ravishing in a pink saree.
