One of the young musicians of Shvekatov Youth Orchestra (Kuyaviyu Pomnr Voivodeship) stole a tuba. The “lost” were found under the statue of the Bydgoszcz monument. He was sleeping wrapped in a shirt and a garbage bag.
On Sunday (December 22), information about a tuba stolen by one of the musicians appeared on the social profile of a youth music group in Shvekatovo.
“Unfortunately, we have to share with you a very unpleasant surprise that happened to us before Christmas this year – one of us was left without an instrument due to theft. This instrument is an Amati Bb tubo with a case, belonging to Young The smoke team of the volunteer fire department in Shvekatovo – but this tool is one of our orchestra members for many years,” we said in the entry.

– The conductor immediately contacted the police. The officers went to the Tadeusz Nowakowski Square in Bydgoszcz together with the owner of the tube and saw an object wrapped in a jacket and a garbage bag under the memorial statue. After opening it, it turned out that it was the stolen tube on the night of December 11-12. Krzysztof Bratz, a graduate student from the Bydgoszcz municipal police office, said that the police went to the police station together with the man and the protected device to complete all the formalities.
The instrument was returned to its owner, who played a Christmas carol on it to verify that it had not been tampered with.
