On Wednesday morning, four fire brigades were sent to the A2 highway, where a semi-trailer with paper bags caught fire near the town of Szczawin Duzi.
– The driver behaved very consciously. He opened the trailer of the tractor and left, thanks to this the fire was contained in the trailer, – says Brigadier Jedrzej Pawlak from the provincial headquarters of the State Fire Service in Łódź.

Damage to the brake system
He adds that the fire was most likely caused by damage to the brake system.
“When we arrived, the entire trailer was already on fire,” he notes.

They had to extinguish the fire twice
It was blocked on the A2 route to Warsaw. But after the operation, the firefighters had to return. It turned out that it is not possible to turn off everything the first time, and the paper will be burned again.
– One unit was sent to the station, – says the brigadier. Pavlak.
