Slovene Domen Prevc jumps at a distance of 254.5m to set a world record
An exciting ending of the 2024/25 season during the World Cup competition at Mammoth Hill in Slovenian. Slovene Domen Prevc set a world record by jumping to a distance of 254.5m. His compatriot, Anze Lanisek, won the competition. Paul Alexander Znamczoł placed 7th.
On Friday, the general classification victory of the World Cup was secured by Austrian Daniel Zshafenig, who was fourth on Sunday, in the first individual competition held at Planica on his 23rd birthday.
Prevc on Friday secured a small crystal ball for winning classification on ski flights. Now he has added a world record and victory in the Planica 7 cycles to the results of the season.

The Sunday World Cup competition held in Planica was 7th in Alexander Zetzchow (234.5 and 238 m), and 13. PawełWąSek (224.5 and 230.5 M), 15. Kamil Stoch (215 and 230 M), 26. JakubWolny (205.5 and 205.5 M), 205.5 M), 15.
Planica Record
Planica is a ski flight cradle. In 1934, the world’s first ski jump was opened here with the construction points of the K90.
The Planica Nordic Center Complex has eight hills. The largest of them – Litrenica is 240 meters. Her official record holder up to now was Japan’s Kobayashi Ryoyu, who jumped 252 meters on March 24, 2019.
However, the longest jump was given by Austria’s Gregor Schlensauer, with support of 253.5m a year ago.
