A 37-year-old man from Sokolniki commune (Lodz province) was arrested for three months for attacking his neighbor with a knife and a hammer. This man is a repeat offender and may face up to life in prison.
This incident took place on November 26 in one of the communal settlements of Sokolniki near Vierushov. The police received information that an unconscious person was lying on the floor in one of the apartments. Officers confirmed the report and found a man with multiple injuries at the scene.

He stabbed and hit the whole body with a hammer
As reported by Senior Sergeant. Piotr Siemichki of the Wieruszów police said the officers helped the injured man and handed him over to the medical rescue team. – The police quickly identified the criminal. It turned out that the 37-year-old neighbor entered the injured man's room, holding a knife in his hand for no reason, punched the man, and then hit him all over his body with a hammer. The 59-year-old man had many fractures and wounds that threatened his life and health. The aggressor was arrested and put in the police cell. A breathalyzer test showed that he had almost 100% alcohol in his body at the time of the incident. During the search, police officers found a small amount of dry green herb from his apartment. After a preliminary examination, it was found that the supplied material was marijuana, – informed the press officer of Vierushov police.
