The orchestra’s account already has more than 9 million PLN, and this is only the beginning. This year WOŚP is playing for pediatric oncology and hematology.

The band Oversleep Academy will play in the finale of the 33rd Grand Charity Christmas Orchestra in Bialystok. Rehearsals are already underway. – I think there are two reasons. First, if possible, it’s worth helping, and second, when there’s an opportunity, it’s worth playing – says Michal Babic, vocalist and guitarist of Oversleep Academy.
For Janek Kulik, a 22-year-old tennis player, this will not be a debut. He appeared on stage for the first time at the age of 7. It was a concert in Warsaw organized by Jurek Owsiak for flood victims.
– I had two songs to present. They were a cover, and I remember how nervous I was before this show, because it was my first public performance in my life, – recalls the drummer. – There were probably 7-8 WOŚP finals in which I played, and there were also those in which I did not play, but then I also helped and lifted the can, – adds Janek.

Janek and Piotr, the keyboard player, are very grateful for the orchestra. – I was born underweight and there was a suspicion that I might not see and hear because I was born early, and the equipment of the Great Christmas Charity Orchestra helped a lot – says the 22-year-old young man. .
– I tested my hearing using the WOŚP equipment, and I think that if there is something wrong with me and I can’t hear, and then my mother finds out about it, I can be treated quickly. It turned out that everything was fine and now I can play, – says Piotr Klepacki, keyboardist of Oversleep Academy band.

Practice before the grand finale
Staropolanie-Wilkopolska Folk Dance Ensemble also joined the orchestra with a different dance rhythm and step. – Yurek has been our dear friend for many years, he knows exactly what people need, – emphasizes the choreographer of the Staro-lanie-Wilkopolska folk dance ensemble Dariush Yeziersky.
On Friday in Poznan, the band performed their Christmas repertoire to encourage people in the audience to donate. – We try to look for such events in WOŚP and invite people to events that are different, interesting and, of course, “on time”, as they say, the birthday play is such an event, – notes Iwona Raube, the head. The 33rd match of the preliminary final will also be held in Gryfice, West Pomeranian Voivodeship. The festival, which raised money for the orchestra, was organized in a kindergarten.
– This is not a false start. We can organize events for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity from December. In fact, there are so many events and institutions that want to participate in organizing the finale that it is impossible to do everything in one final day, says Dominik Balcerzak, head of the orchestra of the great charity Christmas in Griffis.

Everyone has their own reasons for helping. Mrs. Alicia and her husband have two children – their twins are premature babies. – If someone has never been to such a neonatal intensive care unit, I think it’s hard to imagine the feelings of parents, – the woman emphasizes.
Ms. Natalya’s eight-year-old son has a congenital heart defect. The orchestra equipment also helped. – I am and always will be heart to heart – Mrs. Natalya admits.
In Suwalki, the heart of WOŚP is custom-made. It won’t be like that anymore. – At the stand of the Suwalki Cultural Center, you can receive various colorful hearts for a small donation to the WOŚP bank, – informs Emilia Szymanska, the initiator of this campaign.

The initiators of the campaign run sewing workshops every day. – We decided to pass on this sewing skill and donate it to a good and noble cause, – says the initiator of this campaign, Lidiya Zinevych.
Last year, about 100 units were produced. Now they are going to register. – I love handicrafts, so the initiative is close to my heart. I also always try to support Jurek Ovsiak, – says Mrs. Magdalena Markowska.
