Nvidia (NVDA) and Google parent Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL) are just two of the “Magnificent Seven” stocks. This group also includes Apple (AAPL), Tesla (TSLA), Microsoft (MSFT), Meta (META) and Amazon (AMZN). In the latest edition of “Good Buy or Goodbye,” Ivana Derevska, founder and chief investment officer at Spear Invest, shares which stocks are worth buying and which investors should avoid.
Derevska says NVIDIA is the stock to buy. She thinks the cycle for the company's Hopper line is going better than expected and that sales of the upcoming Blackwell line are also strong. And companies are not just updating older systems, they're developing new ones for AI products, which benefits NVIDIA, she noted.
One stock investors might want to say goodbye to is Alphabet, according to Derevska. The company's search business is “under attack” from AI, he argues, and the race around AI is heating up overall. He also believes antitrust concerns will continue to weigh on the company's current business and could hinder the tech giant's ability to expand through acquisitions.
