In the South Korean capital, the soil beneath the roads collapsed in busy parts of the roads. Unfortunately, the 33-year-old motorcyclist fell into a powerful violation. His body was only discovered 18 hours later, as emergency services had to suck up water. This is not the first such event in Seoul – of which over 200 have been recorded in recent years.
A motorcyclist who found himself on a road in Seoul’s Gangdong district is dead. The rescuer found his body. He was notified by local firefighters on Tuesday.
According to the BBC portal, the body of the 33-year-old man was found about 50 meters from where he fell into a large hole. Rescuers needed 18 hours to find motorcyclists and pump water from the sinkhole.

The tragic event took place in busy road lanes in the South Korean capital around 18:30 on Monday. The huge hole in the ground that was made at the time was 20 meters wide and the same depth. It was also partially filled with water.

Only the man on the bike came inside. The car driver managed to leave the area at the last minute, but he was injured anyway. Another vehicle has stopped or bypassed the hole.
There was no reason for the road collapse. Authorities’ reports show that there have been 223 sinks in Seoul over the past decade. The reasons for their creation were poor infrastructure management, old or damaged sewage and sewage installations, and the leaching of several layers of the Earth.
