Orders from the Eastern Action Theatre, which will be responsible for the area of the Taiwan Strait, announced that the exercise will focus on “blocks of key areas and ocean routes” and “attack seas and land targets.” Command spokesman Colonel Shi stressed that these actions constitute “judicious and necessary actions to protect China’s sovereignty and the unity of its people.”
At the same time, the Chinese Army published multimedia materials on the web, including recordings that Taiwan’s president, Rai Qingte, presented as a “parasite” and depicted Chinese fighter jets and ships around the island.
Taiwanese authorities have expressed their condemnation of the exercise, considering it a threat to peace and stability in the region. The local Defense Ministry reported that it had dispatched troops to monitor the situation and respond appropriately.

The communist authorities in Beijing believe that Taiwan belongs to China, but has never actually controlled this territory.

Last week, the American Daily Wall Street Journal noted that the Chinese military achieved its ability to block Taiwan’s oceans. However, due to the fact that such actions become an act of war, Chinese troops will view “quarantine” as a form of less pressure.
