Technology upgrades at nine area senior centers served by the Pennyrile Community Development District will aid operations.
Amanda Stokes, assistant director and data manager for the Area Agency for Aging and Independent Living, provided the update at the group's monthly business meeting. Stokes said the new system will make daily check-ins for center visitors smoother.
The system will be rolled out soon and will feature a key tag-based process.
Stokes said the new technology will make it easier for senior center staff to submit the required data each day.
The new system will also allow for quicker messaging with seniors.
Stokes said the upgrade is HIPPA compliant and will make the process much easier when reporting required information to government officials.
