This beautiful raffle basket contains over 100 fat quarters raffled off of Maker's Market, and the lucky winner will be busy making quilts this winter.
The next meeting of the Tehachapi Mountain Quilters will be held at Shepherd of the Hills Church in Tehachapi on Monday, Sept. 9. The social will begin at 9 a.m. and the meeting will start at 9:30 a.m.
This month's speaker is Tina Curran. She will be hosting a trunk show and displaying her art quilts, which are pictures and designs made with fabric, thread and batting. Her art quilts are more decorative than practical. Her art quilts have been shown at multiple art and quilt shows, in quilt magazines and in three books.
We will be hosting a quilt show during the Apple Festival on October 12th and 13th. The show will be held in the Aspen Builders Inc. Activity Center gymnasium. Tickets to the beautiful Opportunity quilt will be available for sale during the event. All proceeds will benefit high school scholarships.
