In this article, we will be making predictions for the Tennessee Titans vs New Orleans Saints matchup in an NFL preseason game at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana on Sunday, August 25. Let’s take a look at our predictions for the Week 3 preseason battle.
Tennessee Titans betting predictions
The Tennessee Titans are 2-0 this preseason after beating Seattle 16-15 in their last game. Tennessee was trailing 15-13 late in the fourth quarter but made a field goal as time expired to seal the win. The Titans outgained Seattle 338-239 and were 5-15 on third down in the game. Mason Rudolph threw for 125 yards and one score, while Malik Willis threw for 116 yards and one interception. Julius Chestnut ran 13 times for 45 yards. Tennessee defeated San Francisco 17-13 in their opener.
Tennessee was 2-1 in last year's preseason before losing 23-17 to Chicago. The Titans bounced back with a 24-16 win over Minnesota and then beat New England 23-7 in Game 3. Will Revis and the starters should at least play some minutes in this game, but Rudolph and Willis will likely get the majority of the snaps.
New Orleans Saints betting predictions
The New Orleans Saints are 1-1 this preseason after losing 16-10 to San Francisco last week. New Orleans led 7-0 early in the second quarter but only managed three points after that before losing the game. The Saints were outscored 315-271 by a combined total and lost the ball once in the game. Jake Hahner threw for 76 yards, Derek Carr threw for 47 yards and Spencer Rattler threw for 27 yards. Jordan Mims took the loss but also ran 10 times for 37 yards. New Orleans beat Arizona 16-14 in their first game.
New Orleans went 2-1 in the 2023 preseason with wins over Kansas City (26-24) and the Chargers (22-17) before losing to the Texans, 17-13, in the final game. It's unclear whether Derek Carr will play in this game, but Haehner and Rattler are expected to handle the majority of the snaps under center.
Tennessee Titans vs New Orleans Saints Predictions
Tennessee comes into this game coming off two very close wins against the Seahawks and 49ers. Both teams are only five points apart. The Titans have played a very strong defense the first two weeks, but their offense has only averaged 16.5 points per game. New Orleans has been very similar offensively, averaging 13 points per game in their first two games. I think the Titans have a pretty big backup quarterback advantage with Rudolph and Willis, so my prediction for the Tennessee Titans vs. New Orleans Saints is that the Titans will cover.
