The average price of houses in Northern Ireland increased 9% in 2024, according to official data.
The average price in the last quarter of 2023 was just over £ 168,000, reaching just over £ 183,000 in the last quarter of 2024.
The figures from the Statistics and Research Agency in Northern Ireland cover almost all sales, including cash offers.
This is the highest average price since the beginning of 2008, just after the break -up of a real estate price bubble.
The average price at the end of 2024 varied from £ 161,000 in the middle and east of Antrim to £ 218,000 in Lisburn and Castlereagh.
The number of houses sold increased slightly to just over 23,000.
A factor that can contribute to the inflation of housing prices to Ni is the lack of new housing that arrives on the market.
This is partly due to restrictions on new connections with a under-financial water system.
Plans for around 19,000 houses are underway due to restrictions – affecting construction in 23 cities.
The new official housing figures are expected to be published on Thursday.
