The Christmas tree in Krakow's market square has been recognized by Time Out magazine as the most beautiful in the world. It even surpassed the famous tree in New York's Rockefeller Center or the Christmas tree in front of the Capitol building in Washington.
Time Out magazine published the ranking of the most beautiful Christmas trees in the world on Tuesday. “Here's a roundup of the world's most fabulous, glittering and iconic Christmas trees,” it says, highlighting 11 of them.
The Christmas tree in Krakow is the most beautiful
The one that stood in the Main Square of Krakow was considered the most beautiful and the most iconic Christmas tree in the world. The authors of the rating called it the “crown” of the “beautiful Christmas fair” organized in the city center. As they added, the tree is located in the capital of Malopolska, which is “beautiful as a postcard”.

The fourth place went to the Christmas tree of Vilnius Cathedral Square. Time Out described it as “a lesser-known option” that nevertheless becomes “one of Lithuania's biggest tourist attractions” for several months of the year. The magazine also honored the world's largest floating Christmas tree. This can be admired near the Rodrigo de Freitas lagoon in the southern part of Rio de Janeiro.

He further included in his ranking the tree in front of the Capitol in Washington. This, the magazine notes, has been solemnly established since the mid-60s. Time Out has also distinguished the Christmas trees in the central avenues of Mexico and Madrid. He praises the first one primarily for its “lights and extravagant decoration”, and appreciates the second one for its impressive size.
