The winner of the primary election of the Civil Alliance was announced. 2. PiS appoints its candidate
On Sunday, a conference will be held in Hala Sokol Krakow with the participation of PiS president Jarosław Kaczynski, during which the decision to support a non-party candidate for the presidency will be announced. According to unofficial information, it will be the head of the Institute of National Remembrance, Karol Nawrocki.

A few months ago, PiS created a special group to select the party's presidential candidate. It was led by Jarosław Kaczynski and the team included: club leader Mariusz Blaszczak, ex-Speaker of the Seimas Elżbieta Vitek, ex-Minister of Foreign Affairs Zbigniew Rau and general secretary of PiS Piotr Milowanski. The party also commissioned numerous studies to evaluate potential candidates – initially there were a dozen or so of them. The latest test results should have been delivered to the party headquarters in the middle of last week.

3. The policeman, who was shot by his colleague during the operation, died
A tragic intervention took place in Warsaw, on Injinierska street in the Prague district of Polnok, during which a policeman was injured. Later the officer died. Police responded to a report of an angry man running around with a machete. – During the intervention, one of the policemen used his service weapon, as a result of which our policeman was injured, – said the press spokesman of the capital police commander, Junior Insp. Robert Szumiata. The officer who was shot died in hospital.

According to tvnwarszawa.pl, the deceased policeman was an employee of the criminal department. He was shot by a young officer, a trainee of the anti-terrorist police department.

4. Germany wins the first skiing competition
The World Cup on skiing has started. The first individual race in Lillehammer went to German Pius Paske, who was sixth after the first series. 5. The mysterious disappearance of a 9-year-old girl and her mother
Warsaw police officers are looking for 9-year-old Zosia and her 31-year-old mother. The last place of residence of the child indicated by the mother was an apartment on Maltanska Street in Warsaw. The last time Zosia's father contacted him was on November 10. To this day, this woman has not contacted her family.
The description of 9-year-old Zosia and her mother was released Saturday evening by the Warsaw II District Police Department.
