I finished this book in 2 days. I couldn't put it down. I found myself screaming at the protagonist and staring at the pages with my mouth agape in disbelief at what was happening. People who love this book also love it. This reader swears that they didn't know what was going on “at any point.” This reader also loved “The Housemaid” and has read over a dozen books by the same author.
The Housemaid is recommended for fans of Verity by Ruth Ware, Lisa Jewell, and Colleen Hoover. If you like this book, McFadden has published two sequels.
