One of them are the holes located on the sides of the so-called Great Gallery. It is called “miracle of ancient architecture”. Its length is 46 m and height is 8.7 m. It is made of 7 layers of stone blocks, and its upper part gradually narrows. Stone ramps can be seen along the walls. Each of them has 27 holes that are equally spaced. For decades, people have been researching and trying to figure out what they are. There were three main theories about the opening of the Great Pyramid. None confirmed. The first idea was that they were used to pull the blocks to the upper parts of the pyramid. The second, less popular, suggests that the holes allowed granite “plugs” to remain in the grave. A third hypothesis suggests that there are piles in the holes to stabilize the structure. But no remains were found as evidence. The mysterious holes are still one of the many mysteries of the tomb of the famous Egyptian pharaoh.
