A man who fell into a large chasm in the capital of South Korea Seoul was found dead, according to the local fire service.
The man led his motorcycle to the gangdong district when the road has tried around 6.30 p.m. local time (9:30 am GMT) on Monday.
The rescuers found his body underground Tuesday morning around 11 a.m. local time, about 50 m (164 feet) from the place where he had fallen.
A car driver was also injured in the incident, which has become viral on South Korean social networks.
A Dashcam video widely circulating online seems to show the moment when the road collapsed near a circulation junction. He shows that the motorcyclist falling into the hole, while a car traveling in front of him escapes little.
Earlier Tuesday, rescuers found a mobile phone and the motorcycle in the hole 20 m and 20 meters deep, according to local media.
The man, said in the thirties, has not yet been appointed by the authorities.
Kim Chang-Seop, chief of the gangdong fire station, said in an anterior briefing that there were 2,000 tonnes of soil and water mixed inside the hole.
The authorities have not yet revealed the cause of the abyss.
A report recently subject to the government of the city of Seoul shows that 223 chasms have taken place in the city in the last decade.
In January, a truck driver disappeared after his truck fell into a chasm at a junction from the Japanese city in Yashio.
Last August, a search for a woman who disappeared in a chassed abyss in downtown Kuala Lumpur was canceled after a week.
One of the most common reasons for a chasm is when rocks like limestone or chalk decompose. Sometimes this process can occur gradually, where depression becomes greater over time.
In other cases, limestone is under another layer of rock, which means that when dissolved, there are no immediate signs on the surface.
La Roche Sus -Jacent, sometimes clay or sandstone, will suddenly collapse in depression below – this is called a collapse of collapse.
But human activities such as excavation work can also accelerate the formation of chasms or cause the soil collapse in the same way.
