The secretary of work and pensions insisted that her planned overhaul of the services rules will be fair, as labor deputies await the details of the expected social cups.
Liz Kendall said the plans, which will be published on Tuesday, would increase the expenses of services on a “sustainable foot”.
The government insists that changes are necessary to reduce hot air balloon expenses in health, which should continue to increase in the years to come.
However, this decision was faced with opposition to the ranks of work and has already led to charitable organizations to warn the potential impact on vulnerable applicants.
The ministers have already abandoned the plans for a one -year freeze for PIP payments, after concern of the deputies.
The proposals which will be revealed on Tuesday are the result of months of work to ensure the increase in complaints for health benefits following the cocovio pandemic and to ensure that the system does not tramp certain applicants outside work.
But they are revealed in the context of the worsening of economic forecasts, which have increased the need to find savings to allow the government to respect its self-imposed rules on loans and future expenses.
Ministers should put aside plans not to increase personal independence payments (PIP), the main disability benefit in England and Wales, in accordance with inflation next year after the decrease in work.
It is believed that instead, the changes announced on Tuesday will now focus on PIP eligibility, which the beneficiaries claim an assessment to help respond to the daily costs of life from long -term physical or mental health problems.
Expenses on PIP, which is claimed by some people at work, is the second largest element of the social protection bill for the working age and is expected to double to 34 billion pounds sterling by 2029-30.
Recharge payments as part of the health -related universal credit should also be included in the plans. Part of the money saved should be spent to help jobs unemployed at work.
Speaking in the communes, the Minister of Social Security, Sir Stephen Timms, said that the package would seek to tackle “inactivity inactivity” in the system.
Although he did not offer details, he said that the changes proposed by the government would promote more “personalized support” to help people on benefits to find job possibilities.
But he admitted that speculation in the perspective of the official announcement had been a source of “anxiety” for the applicants, adding: “I am sad that it has happened and that people are worried.”
Kendall said that the government “would not avoid decisions which, in our view, were right to give opportunities to people who can work” but would also maintain “security for those who cannot”.
She added that changes would guarantee “confidence and equity in the social security system and to make sure that it is there for people who need it now, and for years to come”.
Labor deputies were invited to briefings in Downing Street in last week, but there are important concerns among many deputies of rear ban.
Helen, secretary to the shadow of the conservatives, Helen interviewed Kendall about the discomfort on the discomfort among the cabinet.
Whately asked the minister if there was a “collective agreement” on the plans, Kendall saying that Whatyly should “show a little patience”.
‘Blocked in’
Total health and disability expenditure should drop from 64.7 billion pounds to 2023-24 to 100.7 billion sterling pounds in 2029-30.
The biggest contributor to this would be social spending on adults of the opening age, according to the Budget Liability Office.
Applicant figures, for PIP and Universal credit payments, increased significantly in the four years that followed the pandemic, driven by an increase in those who demand mental and behavioral problems as the main condition.
The previous conservative government has explored, which has made more difficult for young people with mental health problems to claim PIP.
But no detailed proposal was announced before the general elections last July, which saw the work go back to power after 14 years of functions.
